Citizenship

This 95-minute pre-recorded training course will focus on the importance of Citizenship education in the primary school. The course will consider the contribution it makes to personal development within the Ofsted inspection framework. The training will also explore the links with spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, including Fundamental British Values. 
 
The course will consider the taught curriculum including how to deal with controversial issues safely in the classroom. The training will also consider the knowledge, skills and attitudes which will help children with citizenship when they move on to secondary school. 
 
The session will also include practical ways to develop active citizenship in school life.
