The session will include updates on statutory requirements, information on subject-specific topics, and provide useful resources that can be used in school.

Creating a 2022-23

This twilight session will support subject leaders to review their current position with PSHE education and develop an effective action plan for the next academic year.
The session will include a checklist of the key aspects of PSHE that schools should have in place including those which are a legal requirement. Time will then be given to develop an action plan including guidance with individual issues.

Staff wellbeing is increasingly recognised as a key factor in running a successful school and in retaining highly skilled and valued staff. This course will support a member of staff to be a ‘Staff Wellbeing Champion’. The role is flexible within each setting but in essence the champion will be a first point of contact for wellbeing and will lead initiatives to ensure an ongoing focus on this important topic.

Getting to Grips with PSHE for Early Career Teachers (Online Zoom)

This course is designed for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or those who are new to teaching PSHE education. The training will consider how to create a safe learning environment and deal with sensitive and controversial issues.
The training will look at how the expectations for personal and professional conduct relate to teaching PSHE education and will focus on ethics and behaviour including safeguarding, fundamental British values and impartiality.
