Sustainability through Primary Geography

This online training will look at what learning for sustainability means and what role can Geography play in helping us respond to the challenges we face. We will explore sustainability as a concept or thread that can run through your primary Geography curriculum, and how it connects to other curriculum areas. We will also consider the Sustainability and Climate Change strategy from the DfE and consider what this means for us.

Have you previously attended fieldwork training with us? We've added a second part to the training.
Good use of fieldwork data can help support children's understanding of concepts, processes and core knowledge. This online training will focus on how to follow up fieldwork and complete enquiries. The course will look at ways to bring the data you have collected to life, so children can discuss, debate and explore ideas based on the information they have collected.

A Focus on Mapping in the Primary School

This online session will look at progression in mapping from EYFS through to UKS2. We will look at how we use maps to make sense of the world, how to support children to make their own maps and explore opportunities in our local area to use maps. Classroom and fieldwork opportunities will be discussed. We will also explore the use of digital mapping.
