TA Essentials: Becoming Fluent with Number and Formal Methods for + and -

This 80-minute course is aimed at Teaching Assistants in Y1-6. 
 
The training will build on the automaticity with number facts to develop a conceptual understanding of addition and subtraction. The session will explore mental and formal strategies through the use of manipulatives and how these can be used to extend understanding of decimals.
