This course will support you in developing your subject specific ‘eye' so that you are better able to evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision within your school.

 

During this  online training, we will consider how to run an effective school council to ensure that all children are involved and that they can have an impact on various aspects of school life.

Guidance and resources will be provided to enable delegates to run the meetings including how to train children to be effective members of the school council.

 

This online course will support a member of staff to be a ‘Staff Wellbeing Champion’. The role is flexible within each setting but, in essence, the champion will be a first point of contact for wellbeing and will lead initiatives to ensure an ongoing focus on this important topic.

 

This online course is designed for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or those who are new to teaching PSHE education.

The training will look at how the expectations for personal and professional conduct relate to teaching PSHE education. This section will focus on ethics and behaviour including safeguarding, fundamental British Values and impartiality.

This course will support ECTs in meeting the Teachers’ Standards as set out by the DfE.

 

This online course is aimed at school staff who have responsibility for wellbeing and mental health in school.  The focus of this session is on children and young people and we will consider how to successfully implement a whole school approach to promote positive mental health.

 

This course will consider Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development including British Values in the Primary School. We will consider the Ofsted framework for these areas and look at practical ways to implement them in the classroom and in wider school life.

 

This twilight session will support subject leaders to review their current position with PSHE education and develop an effective action plan for the next academic year.

The session will include a checklist of the key aspects of PSHE that schools should have in place including those which are a legal requirement.

 

This online training will consider the contribution that Citizenship makes to personal development and the links with spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, including Fundamental British Values.

 

This session is designed to widen pupil voice beyond the school council. We will look at the reasons for developing effective pupil voice in schools and consider ways in which it can be implemented. We will look at a range of practical strategies that can be used and how we can ensure we are inclusive of all groups in the school community.
