How to Teach Short Division in KS2
  • How to Teach Short Division in KS2

We're delighted to release the first in a new series of 30 minute How to … Maths courses that are designed to coach teachers in delivering some of the areas that can be difficult to teach.

Remember how you were taught short division? For some, it involved learning a series of steps which weren’t necessarily understood but could be remembered. For others, it was an area they never fully got to grips with.

This 30 minute prerecorded course talks you through how to explain the process of short division to children and leans heavily on the use of manipulatives and place value.

Suitable for teachers, teaching assistants and mathematics subject leaders looking to develop a key stage approach to teaching short division.
