An Introduction to Bar Modelling

This 75 minute prerecorded course is an introduction to the use of bar modelling as a method of supporting children in moving from a concrete to an abstract approach. 
 
The training will give the opportunity to become familiar with the use of bar modelling as a visual method of learning and explore how bar models can aid children in accessing challenging problems.
 
The training is suitable for teachers and TA's in Years 1-6 and for subject leaders wishing to develop a whole school approach.
