10 Things to do with Dominoes
Dominoes are a great tool to explore mathematics as well as teaching children the important social skills of playing games together.
Many of the activities are for two or more children but some may lend themselves to independent work if preferred.
These 10 activities give opportunities for children to develop their mathematical skills as well as providing an opportunity to problem solve and reason.
Skills developed through the activities include: adding and subtracting two-digit numbers; finding totals; representing fractions on a number line; solving problems; making 100 using the four operations and plotting coordinates.
The activities are suitable for both Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils.
